CHALLENGE
Somewhere Good is a social platform to find community and connection. This audio-centric app encourages inclusion and intention by allowing users to respond in real-time to audio conversations on daily prompts housed within themed worlds. As Consumer Strategy Lead and founding employee, I was tasked with translating product vision into actionable growth strategies that would not only achieve adoption targets but also gather the insights needed to refine the product for broader launch. The challenge was building meaningful traction with early users while simultaneously shaping the consumer experience strategy that would inform the product roadmap and position the app for its $3.8M VC funding round.

APPROACH & OUTCOME
I led consumer adoption from the ground up, developing targeted digital campaigns and community-building initiatives that drove 15K beta user downloads within three months. My approach centered on understanding user behavior as a strategic asset—managing the consumer experience during beta testing and analyzing patterns to surface insights that would drive product decisions. This work generated 10K user-created conversations and 150K community event actions, providing rich behavioral data that informed feature prioritization and go-to-market planning.
I spearheaded research efforts using qualitative and quantitative methods to shape consumer experience strategy, including overseeing the SHIFT Fellowship research program. These insights refined targeting strategies and optimized messaging across the acquisition funnel. Through demand generation campaigns, I achieved a 66.7% increase in subscriber waitlist growth from 9K to 18K consumers. Collaborating cross-functionally with design and product teams, I translated data-driven insights and consumer feedback into tangible product enhancements, ensuring the consumer voice remained central to development as we scaled toward public launch.
