Emerline Ji is a strategy director, writer, and producer who builds the strategies, stories, and systems that bring ambitious brands to life.

Most recently as Director of Strategy at Artemis Ward, she led strategic vision and program execution for Meta's emerging technology portfolio including Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, Meta AI, and Meta Quest mixed reality products. Her work spanned foundational research and positioning through content production and channel operations: launching social channels from scratch, directing 50+ content pieces across platforms, coordinating cross-functional teams and agency partners across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Italy, and building strategic playbooks that partners across multiple markets adopted and executed. She also developed brand strategies for cultural institutions navigating complex narratives.

Before that, she was a founding employee at Somewhere Good, a venture-backed audio social app, where she led consumer strategy and helped establish the platform's early user base growing from zero to 15K downloads.

As Head of Content at CreativeMornings, she built the content infrastructure and brand partnerships that helped scale the community to a global network spanning hundreds of cities reaching 5.4M newsletter reads and managing 50+ partnerships with brands including Adobe, Mailchimp, and WordPress.

She began her career in communications at Squarespace and in PR at Prain Global in Seoul.

Raised in California and shaped by New York City, Seoul, and Los Angeles, she advises independently through Flourish Codes supporting founders across brand strategy, consumer insights, and creative operations.

CLIENTS & PARTNERS

“What I love most about working with Emerline is that she does not fear ambiguity, but sees it as a source. She’s empathetic while firm and realistic. Highly organized while flexible and creative. I’m excited to work with her in any capacity.”

Kemi Oritsejafor

Founder, SOLA Market

“Emerline is one of those rare talents that combines rigorous strategic thinking, imagination, creativity, writing, and having a pulse on where culture is headed. She's an excellent maker that can combine language and design to create experiences. She has taste in good ideas, interesting people, and unique artifacts. Above all, she is one of the most thoughtful, kind, and driven collaborators I've had the lucky privilege of working with. You will undoubtedly produce amazing work with her, and along the way, you'll learn some interesting things too.”

Paul Jun

Brand Creative Director, Ramp

“Emerline excels at understanding all the small things that need to happen for the big things to happen. She crosses every T and is an operator, gap spotter, and documentation wizard. She sifts through the noise and somehow makes it all make sense. I admire how she always ensures other people are brought along the journey.”

Naj Austin

CEO, Somewhere Good

“Emerline is a brilliant, thoughtful, and future-forward strategist. (Also, possibly the best organized person I know!). A fast-paced startup takes a particular combo of sharpness, flexibility, and ownership to thrive in. She not only stewarded projects and processes at Somewhere Good with each of these traits, but also with a deep sense of kindness and care. Any idea Emerline gets to be a part of building is sure to be a beautiful one.”

Annika Hansteen-Izora

Product Designer, Headway

“Emerline’s analytical and systems design thinking brought groundedness into conversations that lingered in the realm of ‘what if’ too long. She’s very practical, organized, and results-oriented, while also extremely creative. She’s able to approach questions and see problems from different angles. I loved working with her!”

Johann Diedrick

Engineer & Data Scientist, Mozilla

“One of the facets I most admire about Emerline is her unparalleled proficiency in writing and communication. She stands out as an exceptional storyteller, project steward, and problem solver. Her remarkable ability to think sharply about complex issues led to creative solutions that consistently elevated our work. She not only applied this creativity to her own projects, but was always willing to offer suggestions and help to the rest of the team.”
