It's been a few weeks since It's Nice That came to LA for Nicer Tuesdays, but wanted to share some of my favorite takeaways as an attendee:
→ Photographer Thalía Gochez shared her journey into her craft and reminded us on the raw importance of real life interactions as well as staying true to your own personal artistic DNA.
→ Graphic designer "James Junk" shared that while design may not be able to solve all our problems, it can "still help" in big and small ways.
→ Illustrator Clay Hickson showcased his analog archive of sketchbooks and how over time it began to serve as a rich index for ideas that he could pull out for key moments.
→ Strategy director Alex walked us through MOUTHWASH Studio's cutting edge body of work thus far and their ethos around participation in culture, how MW defines strategy, and what their vision is for the future.
It felt really good to be back in a space like this with people purely sharing their craft, perspective, and practices. Shoutout to the team who put this together and the speakers :) Makes me excited to explore LA's creative and design scene deeper.
